  • Login to your Blogger Dashboard and then go to “Search Preferences” under “Settings”. Enable “Custom robots.txt”. A box will appear under this.
  • Enter the URL of your own Blogger blog at the place mentioned in the code below. Then copy the following text code and paste in the box that was appeared on Search Preferences Setting Page of your Blog’s Dashboard.

Disallow: /search

Allow: /

Sitemap: http://www. URL of Your Own Blog/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

  • Click on Save button and you have created XML Sitemap for your Blogger blog.

Above method is valid for both; regular Blogger blogs with .blogspo.com address and self hosted Blogger blogs that use TLD custom domain name.

Above code is valid for a Blogger blog with up to 500 posts. If your blog has more than 500 posts, you can even then use above code with minor modification. In that case, you can add lines below the last line of above code.

For 501~1000 posts add following line.

Sitemap: http://www. URL of Your Own Blog/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500

For 1001~1500 posts also add another line.

Sitemap: http://www. URL of Your Own Blog/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500
